Dorm inspections in Tech School
In Tech School your room will be inspected. Usually in your Phase 1 or ITP you’ll have to have 1-2 inspections. Typically once a week. Once you’re in Phase 2 or ATP, you’ll still have occasional inspections, but it will be once a month or less often. Be aware that they can do spot inspections whenever they want, so it’s always best to keep your room neat and tidy.
It's really easy to pass your inspections if you always keep your room clean. Any time you use anything in your room, put it away after you're done using it. The biggest thing is going to be taking the trash out almost everyday and keeping your sink clean. Find a routine that works for you as soon as you get to tech school. Typically whoever uses the sink last should wipe it down and the mirror. Then you can work with your roommate to determine who takes the trash out. Sometimes it’s easier for the person who leaves first in the morning to do it so they have time to throw it in the dumpster before forming up in formation.
