Air Force Assignments

Air Force Assignments

In the Air Force, if you’re active duty, you’ll be assigned to a duty station in Tech School. Then throughout your career you’ll possible receive additional base assignments depending on how long you stay in and the needs of the Air Force. Every time you get a base assignment you’ll receive orders. Orders are the formal notification to where you will be stationed next. Your assignment will be posted online in your Virtual Military Personnel Flight (VMPF) which you will get to from Air Force portal. Once you are at Tech School you’ll have access to this information and ask questions if you are unsure how to do so.

You will fill out a base dream sheet at Basic Military Training where you can list up to 8 stateside options and 8 overseas options. You can enter in specific bases, states, or countries. The more options you put, the more likely you’ll get something on your list. But, don’t get your hopes up as the odds of getting something on your list aren’t very high.

I would assume you’re Interested in what your exact chances are of getting a base that’s on your list? I have a video that breaks down what your odds are of getting the base you want, but it’s included in our exclusive content.
