Airmen describing Maintenance Management Production

Maintenance Management Production in the Air Force is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the maintenance and repair of aircraft and equipment. This can include scheduling and prioritizing maintenance, monitoring the progress of repairs and maintenance, and ensuring that all safety and regulatory standards are met. They also work closely with other departments such as logistics, supply and quality assurance to ensure that the necessary parts, tools, and equipment are available to complete the maintenance. Additionally, they also keep track of the performance of the aircraft and equipment, and may analyze data and make recommendations for improvements to maintainability and reliability. The maintenance Management Production specialist may also be responsible for the supervision of a maintenance team, and ensure that the work is done according to the technical orders and safety standards.

Maintenance Management Production otherwise known PS&D (Plans, Scheduling, and Documentation) is responsible for scheduling aircraft flights in advance for the week, the month, every quarter, and year. As a Maintenance Management Production airman, you are also responsible for scheduling any maintenance coming due for the aircraft as well as huge events that will occur that could possibly stop any flights. You are also responsible for all the parts on the aircraft in making sure they are all in the correct place at all times. They hold many meetings with group commanders and your supervision within your unit. This all necessary to create a very detailed flying schedule plan for the following weeks to come.
