As a Mobility Air Forces Electronic Warfare Systems Specialist in the 2A5X3 career field, you will play a critical role in maintaining and operating electronic warfare systems onboard mobility aircraft within the United States Air Force. Your responsibilities will include inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electronic warfare systems to ensure their proper functionality and readiness for missions. This position requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in electronic warfare operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Electronic Warfare Systems Maintenance: Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electronic warfare systems, including radar warning receivers, electronic countermeasure systems, and electronic support measures. Perform scheduled maintenance, routine inspections, and preventive maintenance inspections to ensure optimal system performance and compliance with technical specifications.

2. System Testing and Calibration: Conduct functional tests, system diagnostics, and calibration procedures on electronic warfare systems to ensure proper operation and accurate readings. Use specialized equipment, diagnostic tools, and technical data to perform tests and calibrations. Document test results and maintain accurate maintenance records.

3. System Installation and Integration: Install, remove, and modify electronic warfare systems as required for maintenance or upgrades. Follow technical orders, maintenance manuals, and engineering drawings to ensure proper installation, alignment, and integration of components. Conduct functional tests to verify system functionality and interoperability.

4. System Troubleshooting and Repair: Troubleshoot complex electronic warfare system malfunctions and failures using diagnostic equipment, technical data, and specialized tools. Identify and replace faulty components, conduct repairs, and perform functional tests to ensure proper system operation. Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and engineers to resolve complex technical issues.

5. Training and Documentation: Provide training and guidance to personnel on the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electronic warfare systems. Develop and deliver training programs, procedures, and instructional materials. Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, repairs, and system configurations.

Qualifications:

- U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a Secret security clearance.

- Successful completion of Basic Military Training and the Mobility Air Forces Electronic Warfare Systems Apprentice Course.

- Strong knowledge of electronic warfare systems, components, and operation.

- Familiarity with technical orders, maintenance manuals, and engineering drawings.

- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing complex electronic systems.

- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions, procedures, and safety protocols.

- Effective communication skills to provide training and instructions to personnel.

- Physical fitness and ability to perform tasks requiring strength, dexterity, and stamina.

- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with other maintenance personnel.

- Flexibility to work in various conditions, including confined spaces and elevated platforms.
