As a Client Systems specialist in the 3D1X1 career field, you will play a crucial role in providing technical support and maintaining computer systems for the United States Air Force. Your responsibilities will include installing and configuring hardware and software, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring the availability and security of client systems. This position requires strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Systems Installation and Configuration: Install, configure, and maintain client computer systems, including hardware, operating systems, and software applications. Ensure compatibility and compliance with Air Force standards. Perform system updates, patches, and installations to maintain system performance and security.

2. Technical Support: Provide technical assistance and support to Air Force personnel. Respond to user inquiries, diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, and provide timely resolutions. Collaborate with other technical personnel to address complex problems and ensure efficient problem resolution. Document support activities and maintain accurate records.

3. System Administration: Administer user accounts, permissions, and access rights on client systems. Monitor system performance, identify potential security risks, and implement appropriate security measures. Conduct routine system maintenance, including backups and system optimization. Maintain compliance with Air Force policies and regulations regarding system usage and security.

4. Hardware and Software Maintenance: Perform hardware and software repairs and upgrades on client systems. Conduct preventive maintenance to identify and resolve potential issues. Coordinate with vendors and support teams for equipment repairs and replacement. Maintain accurate inventory records of hardware and software assets.

5. User Training and Documentation: Provide user training on client systems, software applications, and security practices. Develop and update user manuals, guides, and documentation to ensure users have access to accurate and up-to-date information. Conduct briefings and workshops to educate users on system capabilities and best practices.

Qualifications:

- U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a secret security clearance.

- Successful completion of Basic Military Training and the Client Systems Apprentice Course.

- Strong technical skills and knowledge of computer hardware, software, and operating systems.

- Familiarity with network protocols, troubleshooting techniques, and security practices.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office suite.

- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently.

- Effective communication and customer service skills.

- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
